Membership

CPAEA is changing the membership year to mirror CAPA’s membership year in an attempt to simplify the renewal process.  This means that if you paid your membership last year, you will have a 3-month free extension until April 2013.  We thank you for your continued support as build our organization.  We do apologize if you have noticed a delay with us adding you to the email list; there have been a few growing pains getting the new member information.

Call for Presenters for the 2013 CAPA Conference

Your CPAEA Board of Directors would like to send out a call for submission of ideas for topics and potential speakers for the Education Stream at the CAPA conference in Calgary, Alberta.  Deadline for submitting your topic and speaker suggestions is April 1, 2013 at 17:00 EST.  If your submission is selected for presentation at the conference, CPAEA will extend to the presenter a complimentary year of membership to CPAEA.

Opportunities in Education

1.    The Board is looking for an Educator to serve on the Physician Assistant Certification Council of Canada (PACCC).  As defined in the PACCC Terms of reference, an Educator is a senior administrator having experience with Medical/Health education.  Duties involve: teleconference meetings, and one annual face- to-face meeting.  Term of office of PACCC members will be three years. Terms are renewable for up to 2 more terms; not to exceed a total of 9 years. If there is someone you would like to nominate, please email Brad Olmstead at bradol@rogers.com.

2.      Full Time Instructor for the University of Manitoba Physician Assistant Program - see full job requirements and description in the file attachment.
